The official launch of the project "The Integrated Center for Specialist Emergency Medicine"

On 15 March 2010 the official launch of the project “The Integrated Center for Specialist Emergency Medicine” took place in the John Paul II Hospital. Signing ceremony was attended by Marek Nawara Marshal of the Malopolskie Voivodeship, Wojciech Kozak Board Member of the Malopolskie Voivodeship, Anna Prokop-Staszecka Hospital Director and the invited guests.

-It is a happy moment; today I can sign one of the most important contracts under  the Integrated Regional Operational Program for Malopolska. I am the walking example of how necessary it is to establish such a center. It is important not only to save people’s lives but also to implement procedures that would facilitate the process of recovery and return to work and society. The new Center will provide a basis for better response to health threats in Malopolska. It is the only project of this type in the region and one of the few in the country – said Marek Nawara Marshal of the Malopolskie Voivodeship.

-The work of this wonderful staff and newest medical technology will certainly improve the overall ranking. Although the budget for the region is smaller than previously, the indicative resources will keep the region on top of the list regarding hospital investments – added Wojciech Kozak Board Member.
Anna Prokop-Staszecka Hospital Director had a presentation on the planned investments i.e. “The Development of the Krakow Center for Medical Research and Technology” and “The Integrated Center for Specialist Emergency Medicine” approved under the Regional Operational Program for the Malopolska Province 2007-2013; Priority 5.2 The development of the research potential of the Krakow Metropolitan Area.
