In 1997 we participated in the most important event in our history – the Holy Father John Paul II visited our Hospital. Now, in spiritual continuation of those days and by adding a new dimension to human suffering, we appreciate even more the preaching and instruction given by the Holy Father, which still enrich our work and renew its sense. John Paul II will always be remembered with utmost gratitude and cordiality – here in the hospital that bears His name.

Our institution, in compliance with the principles of the program Hospital 2000, implements an obligation THE PATIENT COMES FIRST. It means that a sick person is the most important entity. To improve patient comfort we have implemented a quality management system and we constantly increase the number of specialty diagnostic procedures and therapy options.

Far-reaching changes in the organizational structure of the Hospital to adapt it to new tasks and challenges. It is a leader of technology implementation for the patient’s benefit realizing the idea of a digital hospital. Never forgetting our roots, we continue our efforts to fulfill patient needs to deserve the name of the John Paul II Memorial Hospital. Certificates of quality, prizes and awards given by independent bodies confirm that we have chosen the right direction.

The Hospital acknowledges its role in disease prevention, which in line with innovative treatment is believed to reduce patient suffering. An original project “Help & Hope”, dedicated to two great Saints connected with this place, aims at redefining the mission of the Hospital and establishing a uniform concept of a Health Center that combines an up-to-date research and educational infrastructure with treatment options.
